Chapter 2 shows many different feelings. Piggy is nervous throughout the whole chapter. He feels neglected, when Ralph chooses Jack Simon for the scouting. On the other hand, Ralph feels overwhelmed. Jack adds pressure to his duty. The children run around to scope things out on the island. Piggy gets a angry with Jack, when Jack over powers Jim. However, he is honored that his glasses we're used for the fire. At end, Piggy and the younger children believe the boy with the Mark on his head was eaten by a snakey beast.
